Irene Schneider is the Clinical Educator for Respiratory Sciences at Queensland Health and an advanced respiratory scientist at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. She recently served on the TSANZ Community Spirometry Program Expert Working Group, contributing to the development of national community spirometry standards through the Australian Government’s Prioritising Improved Care for People with Dust-Related Diseases – Education and Training for Medical Professionals grant, representing the Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science. Irene has a strong focus on education and training for health professionals in respiratory sciences and is dedicated to ensuring equitable spirometry training across all healthcare sectors. She leads these efforts as chair and program coordinator of the Queensland Health Spirometry Training Program.
