Prof Marion Saville AM is the Executive Director of the Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer. A New Zealand medical graduate, she trained in Anatomic Pathology and completed fellowships in Cytopathology and HPV research. Prof Saville has served on several cervical screening advisory committees and currently chairs the working group to review Australia’s Guidelines for the management of screen-detected abnormalities in the National Cervical Screening Program.

Prof Saville focuses on equitable screening for disadvantaged groups and leads cervical cancer elimination initiatives in the Western Pacific. She was appointed a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia in 2020 for her significant service to women’s health through cervical screening initiatives.
